"The Reality Show" Hosted by John Enghauser

(NEW YORK, NY) – “The Reality Show” hosted by and featuring musician John Enghauser recently debuted in its Tuesday 7-10 p.m. Eastern Time on radio station KNRNFM.COM (listen live at http://www.knrnfm.com). In addition to the show’s great music mix and upbeat conversation, listeners can chat with John (a/k/a/ ‘The Deej’) by signing up on www.justchat.org and then entering the chat at www.knrnfm.com.

Enghauser will spin an eclectic blend of progressive rock, funk, fusion and acid jazz with occasional live performances by John and guest artists in his New York City home studio (a la “Live From Daryl’s House”).  John will also feature theme nights where he pays homage to select artists and genres.  Themes will be advertised in advance on the KNRNFM.com calendar.  A unique feature of the KNRNFM format is that all of their Disc Jockeys are on a web cam so you can see their video stream on their home page as you listen.  There’s also a chat window right on the home page so you can chat with John and other listeners in their chat room for a more interactive experience.

“After doing a live performance on KNRN a couple of months ago, I was asked to be a guest deejay and then the owner, Robert Rosas, offered me my own show,” explains Enghauser, who named the show after his critically-acclaimed 2013 album, Reality. “Rob is the owner and chief editor of The Pulse Magazine and a known entity in the industry.  I was extremely honored but wasn’t sure if I had the time with my busy schedule. After much consideration, I’ve decided to go for it. After all, you only live once!”

Singer-songwriter-guitarist John Enghauser’s 2013 album Reality was nominated in the “Hot AC Album of the Year” category for the 2013 Los Angeles Music Awards. Enghauser won “Hot AC Album of the Year” at the 2009 LAMA’s for his critically-acclaimed Lost In The Pages.

Reality is perhaps John’s best work to date as he reaches new levels of songwriting mastery with with an eclectic song mix including “Keep Your Jacket On” featuring Kim DesChampes on steel guitar; the Steely Dan-esque “Tears of Yesterday” featuring the Rembrandt Horns; and the re-release of the prog-influenced “Tower”.  Enghauser always surprises with something unexpected on each new album and Reality does not disappoint.

“Reality presents a wonderfully diverse range of hues and tones….Enghauser’s voice is equally as diverse and his guitar work is intricate, interesting, and flawless. Bundled all together, Reality presents a musical offering worthy of widespread radio exposure.”

“On Reality,  Enghauser carries on with a cleaner sound that doesn’t sacrifice any of the grit and spunk that we have come to expect from him….clearly this is one singers-songwriter that can wear his heart on his sleeve without sounding run-of-the-mill.”

“In a world where musicians seem to be willing to follow what is commercially acceptable it’s always wonderful when a disc comes across your desk that is full of something different. ‘Reality,’ the latest release from singer/songwriter John Enghauser, is refreshing in its originality.”
