The 100 degree plus temperature wasn’t the only thing hot in Austin, Texas on September 7, 2012 when recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Slash, hit the outdoor stage of Stubbs BBQ. The former member of Guns and Roses and, more recently, Velvet Revolver, is performing with a new band of talented musicians, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The band includes singer Myles Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, drummer Brent Fitz, and, of course, Slash rocking the guitar. They are on tour promoting Slash’s newest album, “Apocalyptic Love.”

Slash, who was recently presented his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, hasn’t lost any of his edge. Many reviewers consider “Apocalyptic Love” to be some of Slash’s best work. The audience in attendance at Stubbs definitely wasn’t disappointed as Slash and his friends performed many favorites from GNR and Velvet Revolver, as well as new tracks form their recent release.

Opening on the night was Foxy Dangerous and Foxy Shazam.
