to Staples Center.  Los Angeles, CA June 22, 2012

The ScorpionsFor four decades the Scorpions have given us quality rock music with love, relationships, party and politics in their music and lyrics with respect.  Currently on their on their two year farewell tour naming it the “Get Your Sting and Blackout” tour and with 18th current album Sting in the Tail, they are retiring on top of their music to the fans.  Rudolph Schenker, Mathias Jabs and Klaus Meine are older but their venom is still potent. With current backing by James   Kottak(drums) his riser, rises above the stage close to the lighting rig. Pawel Maciwoda (bass) add to the pounding of the music and energy   The show opens with “Sting in the Tail”, and “Make it Real” with Rudolph running back and forth from to the end of the cat walk stage to main stage with energy. Rudolph changing guitars to his Flying ‘V’ for various songs such as “Blackout” and the crowd signing to songs we know of the 22 song set list which includes “The Zoo, “Send Me An Angel”, “Loving you Sunday Morning”, James Kottak drum solo For the encore is “Rock you Like a Hurricane” with lighters or now a day’s cell phones waving for the encore “Still Loving You”,  “Winds of Change”.

Opening the show California North Bay area rockers Tesla. The energizing the crowd performing “Cumin Atcha Live” “Love Song” and “Modern Cowboy” and ’70s song “Signs.  Is good they are still performing and will be on Monsters of Rock cruise 2013.

With us “older” fans they are now plenty of younger fans of their parents, relatives and friends at the showing up at the shows of the artist from 70’s- present keeping the music of these artists alive regardless of over the air radio lacking Rock n Roll and Heavy Metal music.
