It was a night for nostalgia as British singer/songwriter Howard Jones brought his classic synth-pop tunes to the stage at Austin’s ACL Live at the Moody Theater on June 28, 2012.

Jones, who first entered the contemporary music scene in 1983, pioneered novel techniques utilizing synthesizers and triggering sequencers live on stage while performing.  His first two albums included hits like “New Song”, “What is Love”, “Pearl in the Shell”, “Hide and Seek”, “Like to Get to Know You Well”, “Everlasting Love”, and “No One to Blame,” which reached number 1 in the US.

On this night, Jones performed both of his first two albums, Human’s Lib and Dream into Action in their entirety for the enthusiastic audience.  Jones was backed by Robbie Bronnimann on live sequencing/sampling and Jonathan Atkinson on electronic drums.
