Foster The People

The audience was “pumped up” as the Grammy nominated indie-pop group Foster The People took to the stage at Austin’s The Backyard at Bee Cave outdoor amphitheatre on June 5, 2012. The sold-out crowd was treated to an awesome show filled with the band’s signature dance-infused pop and rock. The band, still riding high on the success of their critically acclaimed first album, “Torches,” released in May of 2011, won the Billboard Music Award for Top Rock Song for their single, “Pumped Up Kicks.”

Foster The People is comprised of front man, Mark Foster, Cubbie Fink and Mark Pontius.  Joining them on tour are Sean Cimino, and Isom Innis.

One of the highlights of the show was when Mark Foster welcomed a young fan onto the stage to assist him in proposing to his girlfriend after the band played her favorite song. The tearful young woman happily accepted the proposal in front of the thousands in attendance. Mark Foster declared this to be “one of the coolest things to happen” on stage during their shows.
