Winchester RebelsThe ROXY on the Sunset Strip.  It’s been around since the dawn of time. It has hosted some of the finest bands since it open in 1973 by David Geffen & Company. I too have had my fair share of seeing great acts play here. Now If I could only remember what acts, due to my brain being clouded with Alcohol…HA!

But on a serious note …tonight I would find myself back again @ this Historic club in Hollywood rocking out to a new band of today (WINCHESTER REBELS) Where I would be interviewing them for the first time.

Coming from Santa Barbara, Ca. The band was formed in 2009 by Vox, Nick Hunt – Bassist, John Livergood, The hard hitting Barry Carter, Drums and the Shredding Styles of Nick Fiitzgerald & James Longoria on Guitars.

They just released first LP titled   “3 Sheets To The Wind” which some are now comparing to the likes of Alice In Chains, STP, Danzig and many awesome 90’s acts, I knew I was in store for a hard hitting show from the WR cats.

And disappoint they did not, coming on stage with “Loaded Gun,” “Private Angel,” and “Flying” my favorite song that is reminiscent of STP’s first album “Core.” Winchester Rebels lived up to the hype and then some, leaving the packed house of Rebel Rouser wanting more including this New Winchester Rebel without a cause fan to stand and want more WR music. Only disappointing thing of the whole night was that WR didn’t play more songs. I guess you have to come out to the next Winchester Rebels show and see for yourselves what this writer is talking about.
