Panic Jams at ACL Live

Widespread PanicFor 25 years, Widespread Panic, the jam band from Athens, Georgia, has rocked audiences with their blend of southern Rock and jamming solos.  Recently, they took the stage at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater for two final nights as they prepare to take a hiatus.

Widespread Panic started early, without an opening act, and played for more than three hours to the delight of the dancing audience.  The band played two sets of both original material and covers. The band includes front man, John Bell, guitarist, Jimmy Herring, bassist, Dave Schools, keyboardist, John “JoJo” Hermann, drummer, Todd Nance, and percussionist, Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz.

Widespread Panic’s fans are know to travel from all over to be part of their legendary shows and those in attendance in Austin were no different.  Many had traveled long distances to attend the two-night run and planned to return for the second night.
