The recently-formed Scorch Sisters are a “super-group” of sorts whose principal members are highly-regarded SoCal musicians Francesca Capasso (vocals, percussion); Alicia McCracken Morgan (keyboards, vocals); and Kimberly “KC” Allison (guitars). Among the stellar bands and artists on the three ladies’ collective musical resume’s: Neil Young; Rod Stewart; Delaney Bramlett; Billy Vera and the Beaters; Joe Houston; Zola Moon; Don & Dewey; Bobby Womack; Melissa Etheridge; Spencer Davis; Carmine Appice; Randy Jackson; Some Like It Hot Revue; and Francesca and the Flames. Scorch Sisters made their performing debut at this past April’s “Blues For The Rising Sun” benefit in Long Beach, followed by a headlining appearance at this past May’s Real Blues Festival of Orange County 2.

Scorch Sisters“Francesca Capasso, singing from her soul, with fellow Scorch Sisters Alicia Morgan and guitarist Kimberly Allison, really brought it with their opening uptempo shuffle “Blues For Barnaby” and a scorching (excuse the pun!) guitar solo by Allison on “Still Remember,” said Reagan. “Alicia is an awesome keyboard player…Francesca will take your heart if you let her…and you will,” concludes Reagan in his revue, which ran early June in American Blues News.

Other upcoming Scorch Sisters shows include a performance at popular KCSN 88.5 FM blues deejay Ann the Raven’s Birthday Party at The Place in Chatsworth on Sunday, July 10; a Benefit for the City of Hope (raising money for the women’s cancer programs there) presented by Lorey Mauer of the L.A. Blues Society at Joe’s American Grill in Burbank on Sunday, August 28; and a set at the Roadhouse Anniversary Party in Duarte on Saturday, September 10.
