British rock guitar legend Jeff Beck brought his signature Fender Stratocaster to Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on April 5 giving the appreciative audience an unforgettable treat.

Jeff BeckThe 66-year-old Beck was here with his “Rock ‘n’ Roll Party” tour, a traveling tribute to Les Paul, with Irish singer Imelda May, her English rockabilly husband Darrel Higham and their ace rhythm section, double-bassist Al Gare and drummer Stephen Rushton. The former Yardbird and his friends covered such classics as  “Hound Dog,” “Cry Me a River,” “Vaya con Dios” and more. Two of the highlights of the night were Beck’s menacing version of “Peter Gunn” and his chill-inducing “Danny Boy.” Beck proved that he really is one of the greatest electric guitarists ever by performing some of the best pop songs ever.
