Feisty PiranhasFEISTY FRIGHT FEST & FEAR: Camarillo’s Feisty Piranhas play “Fright Fest” at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia on Saturday, October 30 7 and 9 p.m.). Two night before  that – Thursday, October 28 – the band opens for a special show by legendary L.A. punk rockers FEAR at The Key Club in West Hollywood (8 p.m.)  Don’t miss either of these great shows!!!

PIRANHAS PLAQUES!: Feisty Piranhas took home “Producer’s Choice –  Best Live CD” for their LIVE IN SOCAL album at the recent 2010 (20th Annual) Los Angeles Music Awards Voting Party. Drummer Peter Lust also won “Rock Drummer of the Year.” Feisty Piranhas and Peter Lust will walk the Red Carpet and receive their plaques at the LAMA Main Event, taking place at Paramount Theater on the Paramount Studio Lot in Hollywood, Thursday, November 18.  Peter Lust will also present a Career Achievement  Award to rocker Jack Blades (Night Ranger, Damn Yankees) at the L.A. Music Awards Main Event.

There’s no misnomer here, as the Feisty Piranhas live up to their name in the music, stagepresence, and personality. A pop punk, rock, and reggae band hailing from Ventura County, California, The Feisty Piranhas bring a vivacious and spunky energy to the music scene, both on stage and off.

Started by father/son drummer and guitarist duo Peter Lust, Jr. and Peter Alex Lust III in 2002, the band has made quite a splash, winning numerous recognitions and awards – most recently achieving a nomination for “Showcase Artist of the Year” for the 20th Annual (2010) Los Angeles Music Awards. Now, with the addition of two new members Ned Gardner and Dave Fox on bass and guitar, the Feisty Piranhas are primed for taking their band to the next level.

This high-energy band brings a hard, loud, and fast sound to the stage, favorably compared togroups as diverse as Green Day and NOFX, to Rush and even Pink Floyd. It is no wonder, then, that the Feisty Piranhas have been invited to play at world renowned venues and open for big name acts like punk stalwarts The Misfits and Dragonforce, as well as seminal longtime rockers Blue Oyster Cult and The Tubes.

Feisty PiranhasAt the top of their game and ready to rock, the Feisty Piranhas are eager to spread their music to a larger audience, starting with the release of their new album in January of 2011.  So, the question is… Are you ready to get Feisty?

“From this collection of songs I can hear a band who are very tight live and who can really get a crowd going…This live album shows the band’s onstage power…lead singer Peter has a distinctive voice, due at least partially to him having a quite severe hearing impairment; but truth be told it works for him as it sets him apart from the nasally vocals of the Piranhas punk peers.”

What once was simply a big dream for young Peter Alex Lust III has turned into a reality, as the Feisty Piranhas have chewed their way from a small homegrown band to a highly acclaimed punk pop, reggae, and rock band from Southern California.

The Feisty Piranhas boast a resume riddled with awards for their artistry (“Showcase Artist of theYear” Nomination – 2010 Los Angeles Music Awards); for their genre (Best Punk Band – 2007 South Bay Music Awards); for their albums (Best Independent CD – 2007 All Access Awards); for their individual songs. In fact, The Feisty Piranhas have been submitted for consideration for a nomination in round one of the Grammys over 30 times in the past five years. But the honors do not stop there – as a band as dedicated to their fans and fellow musicians as they are to their own music, The Feisty Piranhas are continuously asked back to perform in world-class venues such as the Key Club and Viper Room in Hollywood, as well as asked to play with big-name bands and musicians around the industry. In a memorable moment in 2009, frontman and lead guitarist Peter Alex Lust was asked onstage by NOFX in order to play “Linoleum” side by side.

Featured in such publications as the Ventura County Star, All Access Magazine and Metalliville, to name a few, The Feisty Piranhas continue to establish a rapport with all aspects of the industry, making them a band continuously receiving high reviews and accolades for their work.

Currently in the studio recording their fifth album due out in January of 2011, The Feisty Piranhas are anticipated to deliver a product and sound even better than in the past. For more information on past and upcoming shows, go to the Feisty Piranhas’ Facebook or MySpace page and
