Bullet Boys :: 10 ct. BillionaireOld-school Bulletboy followers may be a bit dismayed when they hear that the band sounds completely different. Don't expect to hear anything like, "Smooth Up In Ya". It's so different, I'm sure many would say the band shouldn't even be called Bulletboys - but let's face it, Bulletboys have some name recognition, so it's smart to use an established band name. I would liken this to the Skid Row album 'Thick Skin', which saw an entirely new sound and direction for a well-established 80's rock outfit. Many gave it bad reviews, saying the new sound didn't work for them. Fair enough. If you can put the new sound aside and listen with open ears, I'd be surprised if there's any hard rock fan that didn't like this album. "Road to Nowhere" isn't the most original title, but the song is excellent. and is the album opener "Asteroid" and "jenna Star." Actually, they're all pretty good. what's also pretty good (surprisingly so) is the production of the album. I doubt these guys have much of a budget to work with, and yet sonically this album sounds great. Go in with an open mind. It's the same badass backbeat that Bulletboys have always offered... but with a powerful modern punch, that was well worth the wait. Don't hesitate; it’s definitely worth checking out.
