Everything That Exists
Self titled EP
By Amanda Blied
This self-titled debut EP is a solid effort by a group blossoming into a finely tuned Pop/Alt. Rock flower. For a young band, they have an accomplished sound that meshes like they have been playing together for years. Their methodically paced tunes include sweeping melodies that carried this listener to a dreamlike oblivion.
The standout track, “Help Me Up”, is a catchy tune with an uplifting moral code that the group bases their music off of. They are eager to give a helping hand to the world and want to make it a better place, doing so through their musical spirit.
“Dogmata” is a nostalgic song that looks back on the innocence of childhood, at a time when a young spirit can be totally free without realizing the errs of the cruel world we live in. It’s somewhere where grown people can’t go to permanently but are able to experience for about three minutes at a time through this track.
The album rounds up nicely with two whimsical sounding tracks, “Enough” and “Clear as Day”. Everything That Exists is a band that draws upon both the beauty and beast of the world we live in. This balance gives them a well-rounded approach to their music and they have a steady foundation to build on towards the future.
