Fire In The Asylum :: Self-titled
Magnetic Records
By Graham Mueller

Fire In The Asylum's self-titled debut is a screamer. Featuring politically charged lyrics bouncing around throbbing metal grooves like uranium atoms in a nuclear reactor, Fire In The Asylum sounds like a cross between Nirvana and Tool. Around a nucleus of tight bass and syncopated drums the electron cloud of guitars pierces the sonic space and bleeds mercury. From Argentina comes Joaquina (Roqui) Lluma on Bass. From Detroit comes Graham Mueller on Drums. From Groveland CA comes Josh Phillips on voice and guitar. This is a debut worthy of national radio airplay. It also went live on iTunes on June 2nd 2009.
