Warbringer :: War Without End

Century Media Records

By Natalie Perez

Warbringer :: War Without EndWarbringer known only as the "little band that could" have proven themselves worthy as being considered musicians. This American thrash metal act has brought into the spotlight being shown and exposed to anyone and everything willing to listen. Having formed in 2004 the band got signed to Century Media Records and unleashed upon the masses their first debut efforts "War Without End," which has sold millions of copies to date drawing in the crowds of thrash even more and more. Aside from expressing themselves musically the band has also been touring their butts off going all over the place constantly spreading their name far and wide giving that thrashing tone a real beat down.

Their current status marks them in the books going out alongside other thrashers Kreator and metallers Exodus. Speaking of Exodus their newest accomplishment "Waking Into Nightmares," Warbringer was able to collaborate with the true guitar hero and metal legend Gary Holt Exodus’s guitarist who produced this massive nightmare. The record was mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren (Suffocation, All Shall Perish) with cover artwork completed by the extraordinary surrealistic Dan Seagrave (Morbid Angel, Entombed, Malevolent Creation). While still new to the band, both Bennett and Ritter play a huge part in the band's redefined sound delivering a massive bass tone and very ambitious and unexpected drum work combined with the band's already lethal riff work. Warbringer has reached a new level of complexity and brutality; leaving metal heads with even more reason to check out Warbringer 's punishing live shows.

Aside from the live exposure and experience that has made these guys well known, “Waking Into Nightmares,” delivers to you 10-tracks of what you can’t get enough of pure aggressive in your face music that breaks down all the sound barriers in an instant. The overwhelming feeling sneaks into your soul and destroys it from the inside out with fast racing guitar riffs and breaking solos that blow your mind away while the vocals up front and personal draw you in even more as they tend to create that evil aggression vibe that sends chills instantly running for cover. "Scorched Earth," "Pride For Death," "Nightmare Anatomy," and "Forgotten Dead," are some of the intense tracks that don't need a introduction but need to be restrained because after being exposed to these selected tunes you, yourself may never be the same. The instrumental work and lyrics the whole package deal is overall a masterpiece all its own and creates that over the top feeling that you want to hear and want to be exposed too again and again. Fans of Avenger Of Blood and any other thrash act that is known to this forsaken planet will fall into a coma of pure disaster.
