Nickelback :: Live From Sturgis
1 Am Approach
By The Atomic Chaser
"Live From Sturgis" brings the Nickelback experience directly to you, and with the optional Dolby 5.1 surround sound, it makes you feel as though you are at one of their live shows again, or for the very first time. This DVD is a must have for Nickelback fans as well as anyone who has been to a Nickelback concert and enjoyed it. Here's is the DVD tracklisting: 1.Animals 2.Woke Up This morning 3.Photograph 4.Because of You 5. Far Away 6. Never Again 7. Savin' Me 8. Someday 9. Side of a Bullet 10. How You Remind Me 11. Too Bad 12. Figured You Out. Nickelback does rock, make no mistake, but if there is one thing that bothered me was that the DVD has been heavily censored. Now, I have never been to Sturgis, but correct me if I am wrong, it is no theme park for kids, right? So, why censor that from the DVD. What is the point of shooting a performance at Sturgis if all of the topless biker chicks are blacked out? Wouldnt it be better to show the concert the way it was presented to the crowd and put a Tipper Gore sticker on the package. Other than that, that is my only gripe. Nickelback are a tight, no-nonsense, a true powerhouse rock and roll band. Incredible musicianship and energy from each individual player. If this is your first time seeing the band live on DVD then you are in for a treat. They are truly electrifying. The production values on this DVD are top notch. I always think live music is the purest and best experience one can have, and I always love a great concert by a great artist/band where the audience is going bananas... that's as good as it gets. I just wish I was there to witness the performance in person without the bleeps and blurs.
