Heavy Honey :: Maiden America
Damian London Mace Music
By The Atomic Chaser
Unlike the band's debut release,‘God Bless The Fearless Lover’, which was a very solid release, with 'Maiden America', Heavy Honey turn it to the max!The opening rocker, "Angels & Camaros" sets the mood for this whole cd. Cool as hell guitar riffs, haunting vocals, industrial-type background, and the lyrics, are enough to convince me that this band kicks ass. Then you have tracks like, "Full Force" and "Predator" that fire out of your speakers and goes for your throat, Heavy Honey are ready to bring the rock and they aren't pulling any punches. Heavy Honey is made up of, Mace on lead vocals, Reagan Pfifer on vocals, and Trey Winrow on drums. 'Maiden America' is a great offering from Heavy Honey, and hooked me from beginning to end. Every song on here is guareenteed to get your rocks off. The band also serve up a remix of "Soul Selling" their first single from their debut. There are great melodies here, and the album is primarily driven by a combination of riffs and beats that far exceed any Garbage record, and the Bowie influence is clear here. There's no denying there is great music here. 'Maiden America' is epic regarding its sonic landscape of awesome guitar and synth work. This album fits no specific genre, and could start a new trend in rock music. Hopefully its influence reaches future musicians. Go out and get it now and stop accepting the crappy new rock music that has been coming out on the radio. We are entitled to much much more and this album is proof.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
