Mini Kiss founder and mastermind Joey and I have attempted to work together for many years and we finally did it! For whatever reasons in the past we were always involved in something else or things never panned out. We both decided a few months back “It’s time”.
On Saturday August 2nd I did my first “Mini Kiss” Show in Portland Oregon. I flew out on Friday and arrived in Portland around one am. We all had a quick bite to eat, slept then got up on Saturday and sort of hung out until sound check.
We chatted about the show and got to know each other. The guys are all real cool, there is Joey and Lin from the East Coast and Wilbur from the Midwest. I am the newbie from California. There are no egos or attitudes here; it’s just a great time.
I am a huge Zeppelin fan and always have been but I have to say I really enjoy working with this band and despite what people may say or believe we all can and do play our instruments. Mini Kiss is about a “Show” this is why we do it the way we do, it’s entertainment and we want to have people leaving going SHIT! These guys ROCK! We rock as hard and loud and are as Kick ass as any band around! People love us!
That was exactly what we did last Saturday night! We headlined and performed in front of over 500 people and blew the roof off the place! They were lined up down the block to see us! Mini Kiss is currently on tour through December and will be covering many States across the US. We have a great show we play about an hour to an hour and a half or more depending. You won’t be disappointed trust me!
I believe there will be some shows in Los Angeles at some point that I look forward to because this is my home base. Being a part of this band is like being in a major touring band our fans treat us the same. People love us and we love playing for them. With Mini Kiss you get a complete show, fire breathing, blood, and guitars on fire, drum solos and all! We have groupies and fans just like any band.
I truly look forward to working with the band and am glad that finally made the move to hook up. We get along great and that’s what makes it work!
In most of my career a lot of local bands have not accepted me, now I have finally found my place, the bands that blew me off might always be doing the same old local gigs while I am touring the Country with a great band having the time of my life!
