Poison

Releases “Live, Raw & Uncut” 2 Disc Set

By Susie Salva

PoisonFor nearly 22 years Poison has been rockin’ hard and now they release their latest effort, “Live, Raw & Uncut,” a CD/DVD available exclusively at Best Buy, released by Mailboat Records. This collection, the band’s first in over a decade – includes all of the multi-platinum rockers’ greatest hits performed live, including “Nothin’ but a Good Time,” “Look What the Cat Dragged In,” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”.

This CD/DVD features the original lineup of Bret Michaels, vocals, acoustic guitars, ‘N’ Harp, Rikki Rockett, drums, C.C. Deville, guitars (lead vocals on “I Hate Every Bone In Your Body But Mine,”) and Bobby Dall, bass. The two disc set produces Poison at their finest with all the fun and excitement of their live show. If you have never seen the band live this set is essential to your expanding collection. Playing live is what Poison is all about. This music acts as soundtrack to their live show.

Recorded live in St. Louis on the Poison Summer Tour, “Live, Raw & Uncut,” serves as time travel through Poison’s

21 plus career. All of their hits are here on these two discs. From their first hit, “Talk Dirty To Me,” “Ride the Wind,” with remakes like, “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “What I like about You,” to their power ballads hits like, “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn, to “Somthin’ To Believe In,” where Michaels dedicates the tune to our men and women in the service for our freedom. There are also heavy rockers like, “Look What the Cat Dragged In.” This performance highlights songs from Poison’s last Junes release “Poison’D,” topping Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart with the #32 debut the collection released by Capitol/EMI and was soon certified gold with sales totaling more than 500,000 units.

Another benefit of this CD/DVD is for the first time C.C. Deville’s underrated guitar talents are exposed for all to see. If you are looking for the pyro that defines the bands’ live performance it’s all included and Rikki Rockett’s drum prowess is demonstrated. While nothing replaces actually being at a live performance, today’s technology does allow us to capture the experience like never before. Hi Def cameras, state of the art lighting and mind blowing camera stabilizers and top notch recording technology now can capture the action like never before. The discs also feature a bonus photo gallery and a behind-the-scenes segment that captures all of the mayhem and madness of life on the road. Rounding out the set is an audio CD of Poison’s greatest hits captured live.

Poison, one of rock’s most iconic and enduring bands will hit more than 40 U. S. cities this summer on their “Live, Raw & Uncut,” Summer Tour. The national tour, with Dokken and Sebastian Bach joining Poison for most of the dates rolled out on July 3rd in Salt Lake City, UT, with stops in and around New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Washington, DC and other major tour markets across the country. They will perform live here in Los Angeles on

August 23rd at the Gibson Amphitheater.

This is the ultimate keepsake for all new fans and avid fans from the bands’ inception. If you are looking for “Nothin’ But A Good Time,” you’ll be thrilled you picked up this rousing rendition of Poison’s live gig. For all things Poison please feel free to go to www.Poisonweb.com.
