Eddie Money
At the Jefferson County Fair
Follow up - Obos style
Eddie Money and the Eddie Money Band played the Jefferson County fair this past weekend, and for me it was cool to be a part of it because Eddie Money was huge for me as I have always rocked to his music.
As I was invited to the backstage by one of my "day" job marketing groups - The Advertiser - it was the All Access Magazine relationship that opened the door for a quick conversation with Eddie and the band members.
Tommy Girvin, guitarist – is Eddie's right hand behind the stage, and he allowed myself pretty much free reign (thanks to All Access Magazine) to take photos of them - and the group from the advertiser (about 20 of us) did a meet and great - photo session with Eddie. What a down to earth professional, he took the time to say hello to everyone, shaking their hands, or hugging / kissing (cheek kiss) and then posing with each one of us. Even taking the
time to take his sun glasses off for one of us that was in a wheelchair, and took two photos with her and companion.
As we were taking these meet and great photos the rest of the band, Tommy Girvin/guitar, Lee Beverly/ bass, Glenn Symmonds/drums and the newest band member, Chris Grove/keyboards hung out to say hi, and shake hands with us also - the whole band was awesome backstage...
Eddie Money and his band hit the stage with ‘Two Tickets to Paradise’ and, for the next hour and a half they rocked the heck out of the mud pit and grandstands filled with fans and the kids of fans that became fans because of mom and dad. Oh, and you will get a kick out of this! I said mud pit because directly in front of the stage is where they hold the Jefferson Country Fair tractor pulls... yeppers... It was Wisconsin.
So if you have a chance to
see Eddie Money and The Eddie Money Band - don't hesitate! Because from the Mexican Border all the way to Paradise, ‘Baby Hold On’, it’s going to be a great ride on the Eddie Money tour bus! I promise YOU will leave an Eddie Money fan, if you’re not already. As everyone at his concerts turns into as Eddie sings his way and thanking you for remembering his favorites and yours.
All Access Magazine “Thanks” Eddie Money and his band for taking a little extra time with our staff and his group of friends. Eddie, your thoughtfulness says it all! As the editor of All Access Magazine, I too hope to have the pleasure meeting you one day. AAM wishes you continuous success!
