Jorn :: Lonely Are The Brave
Frontier Records
By The Atomic Chaser
Jorn Lande returns with his 5th studio release, 'Lonely Are The Brave', recorded under the direction of Tommy Hansen whose worked with such bands as Pretty Maids and TNT at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark. This album is great. It's very hard, aggressive and loud, and I love that. The verses, the bridge with the cool guitar riff, and the chorus’ are addictive. Providing Jorn with solid back up are; Tore Moren and Jørn Viggo Lofstad on guitars, Sid Ringsby on bass and Willy Bendiksen on drums. One of the most frenetic recording artists in music today. This is a good thing, because he is definitely one of the best singer/songwriters in the rock and roll game today. Many have said, that Jorn has saturated the market of late with his other projects, Masterplan, Ark, Millennium and Allen/Lande, I for one don't mind one bit. When a man has a voice and talent like this and he continues to release solid recordings, who can complain? 'Lonely Are The Brave' is guaranteed to get your adrenaline going, with a riveting sound that has solid roots in classic hard rock/heavy metal music, such as Dio, Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Whitesnake. From the opening rocking title track, "Lonely Are The Brave", Jorn's vocal prowess shines with unbridled passion and power. Then you have tracks like, "Night City", "War Of The World" and "Promises", where the combination of stellar musicianship and powerful vocals join in perfect union. Jorn has crafted yet another timeless and unparalleled gift, to hard rock fans around the world. Also, hats off to the stunning artwork of Thomas Ewerhard. 'Lonely Are The Brave' is simply incredible from start to finish. What else can I say? If you are a fan of rock music, this album delivers the goods.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
