Voices Of Rock :: MMVII
Locomotive Records
CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Hats off for an outstanding job to, Chris Lausman and Michael Voss for putting together a super star line-up of the world finest melodic rock singers. Voice Of Rock's ' MMVII' is AOR personified. Featuring an amazing line up of vocalists. Talk about 'Singers Ala Cart', here we have Robin Beck, Steve Overland (FM/The Ladder), Terry Brock, Jean Beauvoir (Crown Of Thorns), Dan Reed, Harry Hess(Harem Scarem), James Christian (House Of Lords), Gary Barden (MSG), Johnny Gioeli (Hardline) and Goran Edman (Brazen Abbot) who amazing vocals talents will grab you and blow you away. From the opening, "Voodoo Womam" featuring James Christian, the listening experience that awaits you is an AOR lovers wet dream, I kid you not. Great to hear Dan Reed on 'Over And Done', although the song and his vocals at times sound like John Waite! Jean Beauvoir is on fine form on 'Wild Thing', great riff and chorus although cheesy lyrics alert. Steve Overland lays down an emotive vocal on 'Slip Away'. Harry Hess' vocals on, "Irresistable" is top notch as well. Also featuring performances by high profiled artists such as, Angel Schleifer (BONFIRE) and Tommy Denander (RADIOACTIVE) on guitars and Bertram Engel (Udo Lindenberg, Peter Maffay) on drums. On this album, you won't find any compromises, - no-one will jump onto a trendy train here. Instead, fans of AOR melodic rock music will find a release that is nothing short of a MASTERPIECE!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
