Tantric :: The End Begins
Silent Majority Group
CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Seven years after their last studio album, 'After We Go' Tantric return with their latest release, 'The End Begins'. The new album finds the band closing the door of what Tantric used to be and shows rock fans everywhere what can be done with talent, passion, and a unique take on what modern rock 'n' roll should sound like. Tantric is now powered and fueled by, Hugo Ferreira on vocals, Joe Pessia on guitar, Erik Leonhardt on bass, Kevin Miller on drums and Marcus Ratzenboeck on violin. Hats off to Toby Wright for another awesome job in the production department. Hugo Ferreira's vocals are in fine form as is evident on tracks like the lead off single "Down and Out", Marcus Ratzenboeck's violin playing adds a nice touch. Then there is "The One" featuring Candelbox's Kevin Martin adding his vocal talents . Ex-Fuel drummer Kevin Miller is a powerful drummer and gives the band a stronger base than his predecessor. Tantric for me has always been about solid musicianship, tight harmonies and a unique sound. Giving the music fan who is weary of much that appears on the radio today an supernatural audio experience. All 11 tracks are strong and hook-laden, never resorting to filler. Fans of both acoustic rock and metal should find something to satisfy them on this new release. 'The End Begins' is just a beginning of something very special for this amazing band.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
