’RENEWAL’ the powerful debut release from guitarist, Juan Carlos Coronado, has some of the best variety of guitar playing you will ever hear. From the Latin flavored grooves to six string shredding that will send chills down your spine. ’Renewal’ showcases Juan Carlos Coronado’s intensified and intoxicating playing style. Each note he hits will touch your senses in ways indescribable. As passionate as ’Renewal’ is, it stimulates a whole gamut of different feelings. The title song is a very strong piece of music and has a very solid melodic structure blended with nice Latin flavored percussions and stimulating bass lines. "Primal Call" one my favorite songs is an energetic mover that will definitely get your juices flowing. There’s not much to complain about with this album. Juan Carlos Coronado manages to craft a neoclassical album that is original, concise and almost entirely devoid of overkill. His music is intense, his solos are fast and furious yet always musical, his technique is beyond imagination but the best thing about Juan Carlos Coronado in my opinion is his compositional ability. ’Renewal’ is truly an audio experience of the third kind. A perfect mix of unbridled intensity with unbridled passion. A must have for all rock guitar fans. All right, so by now, you probably understand that I hold this album in high regards. If you are inspired to get it, please, definitely do! It’s beautiful, powerful and different, and will certainly add variety to your collection. Juan Carlos Coronado is truly the definition of technical precision.
