By Peggy Leyva-Conley

Eddie Benitez :: Lovers Never Say GoodbyeEddie Benitez was born in Puerto Rico on November 12, 1962 and shortly thereafter his parents relocated the family to different parts of Europe, residing in various parts of Spain and Italy. Later in life the family found themselves living in New York City, New York. Where Eddie would establish himself to become a renounced and notable musician.

At an early age of 14 years of age, Eddie began taking musical lessons on classical guitar. Like that of Bob Dylan taking the stage at New York's Madison Square Garden at such a young age so did Eddie Benitez in 1976. This in itself demonstrates his strong talent to reach such a wide audience he captured beyond his years in age.

This experience would lead Eddie into the spotlight of the music world. And to becoming an established, renown, and professional musician. Some of his earlier works are the musical releases such as "Nightlife", "Essence of Life" both albums hit the music Industry with rave reviews leading him to receive several Gold album awards.

The music performed cuts across the platform to the sound of Jazz, Latin, Rock, New Age and classical. Eddie's music is so diverse. His music is divine, highly creative, spiritual, healing, successfully demonstrating his rare, and naturally gifted ability as a genius.

Eddie Benitez latest CD release is titled "Lovers Never Say Good-bye" and it is by far one of the most profound collections of all time. Eddie plans on his worldwide tour titled "Angels on My Stage" scheduled for 2009 thru 2009.

The following song releases consist of some of the most sensual sounding songs ever recorded from this brilliant master of music.

"Beautiful Sunrise" this song opens up with immense passion and beautiful piano ballads being played across the keyboard. Eddie leads up to an emotional charge of feelings expressed on his electric guitar. There is a deep and profound emotion being felt throughout this instrumental. The music is sensual and stimulating. Eddie's music is like a flood gate opening up to his audience. His expression is so profound that the emphasis demonstrated is of his natural burning passion he expresses as if making love throughout his music. The music is provocative and warm.

"Flight into Heaven" is a cosmic instrumental that leads into an opening of Jazz, Drums, Piano all mixed into one at times. There is a free-flowing instrumental feeling with intense passion that kills the soul, and brings you back to life in another realm. The music captures a higher spiritual realm with it's high energy and sub-conscious awareness. It is a new door that leads into other levels of emotion.

"They Cry" this song is one instrumental that will steal your heart away. It is Angelic in it's overall presentation. The cries heard on Violin is as if someone is weeping for their long lost lover and friend. The piano performance is sensual and the acoustic guitar lead by Eddie is deeply felt. As a musician his hands strum across the guitar with a classical overtone. The Violinist keeps pace close to the sound of the guitar. They both meet up to make the sound as if lovers are finally colliding with one another in the spiritual and sensual realm.

"New Generation" this song opens up with the sound of Latin Jazz, and the sound of the Andes Mountain on flute. There is a sensual back-beat rhythm and movement taking place on drums. Also the sound of classical Spanish guitar performed has varying interludes to one another. There is strong harmony taking place within each instrument felt and heard. This instrumental merits high praise, and on the skill level performed as professional musicians. The overall presentation is hypnotizing to your mind, body and soul. It is as if making love it is beautiful.

"Lovers Never Say Good-Bye" this is a spell-bounding instrumental which opens up with piano movement and outstanding lead-guitar interludes. The whole band are multi-talented musicians. This is one song that captures the essence of the freedom projected by Eddie Benitez as a musician. The music is free-flowing, will capture your mind and heart. The song merits strong recognition for the sound and emotion portrayed throughout the instrumental.

"Whatever Happened to the Night" is a song about a women who is no longer in your life. A lover you still remember in your long lost dream, the emotions felt, and the remembering of your lover. The song has emotional feelings with outstanding vocals, and a sound similar to that of the Miami sound machine. There is an outstanding sound of Latin Jazz portrayed throughout this songs entirety.

"A Haunting" has a soft Spanish sound portrayed on acoustic guitar. The feeling is that of old world charm, along with an angelic instrumental sound. This song reveals a softer emotion being expressed.

Overall the CD release merits strong praise and recognition. The chorography put together is professionally recorded. There is a wide range of mixtures such as Jazz, Latin, Soul, and Classical music all inter-twined throughout the songs and instrumentals. There is a compelling softer side of angelic sounds taking place on the release. And an up-tempo, high energy sound that will bring you back down to the simplistic sounds which are soulfully created by this legendary, and highly gifted musician in the music business.
