RocklahomaDJ Eddie Trunk is heard nationally on XM Satellite Radio’s channel 41 The Boneyard, and XM and Boneyard are the official satellite radio channel for Rocklahoma. Eddie hosted and opened the Rocklahoma Press Conference held at The Whisky in Los Angeles March 4th. Eddie said he is “Honored to be back again and to be a part of the 2nd Annual Rocklahoma. It’s not about 1 band, it’s about the event, the music, the party and bringing it all together.”

Eddie introduced the men behind Rocklahoma: Mark Nuessle, RocklahomaPresident and General Manager of Pryor Creek Music; Rob Miller, President of Event Marketing Group; Dave Giencke, Director of Operations; and Brad White, President/CEO of Entertainment Unlimited. Brad books all the bands performing at Rocklahoma, so IF your band is NOT on the bill, YES this is the man to call. “It’s amazing,” says Mark, “how Rocklahoma has grown. It was only just 1 year ago we were sitting here, at The Whisky, and we only had 6 bands with us. RocklahomaAll the bands looked at each other [then] and said, ‘I’ve played with you and you but never all together.’ Now this is going to be a party!”

Rob Miller thanked all the media outlets for their support, especially Boneyard, as they were broadcasting today’s conference live from The Whisky.

Rocklahoma is about bringing back the sounds of ‘80s many of us miss. But it’s also working with the bands, and giving them the respect they deserve and don’t often get working in the club scene. It is truly a collaboration of great bands of the ‘80s, and a year’s worth of hard work to make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s truly about the bands and the fans – and all about the party!

Bret MichaelsEddie calls it “A NEW generation of Classic Rock,” and everyone having a good time. Bret Michaels, whose music has sold more than 25 million records worldwide in the span of his 22-year career with his band Poison, will be returning to Rocklahoma this year with his solo band. Performing both his solo music and classic Poison, Bret Michaels will bring his talent as one of rock’s most charismatic frontmen and plans to kick off the special Thursday night show. Bret says, “It’s a great summer party with bands coming from all over the world.” He plans to release his new solo album, “Rock My World,” prior to his performance at Rocklahoma, and will have a special “meet-and-greet” area side stage after his performance allowing him to sign autographs and take photos with his fans. BUT the ONLY way fans can get to see Bret’s performance is by purchasing the 3-day package, which will include the Special Thursday Pre-Party performance by BRET MICHAELS’ solo band, LA GUNS featuring Tracii Guns, ENUF Z NUFF, VAIN, HOUSE OF LORDS and JET BOY. Crank up the amps: It’s going to be a party both on stage and back stage!Rocklahoma “A 21st century Woodstock,” says Chip Z Nuff!
