METAL SKOOL change their name to STEEL PANTHER!
No, this isn’t a joke! Everything else is, though.
Press Release
What’s in a name? Not a whole hell of a lot if you ask the boys formerly known as METAL SKOOL. Yes, believe it or not, despite their steadfast refusal to abandon all the hedonistic trappings of the 1980s – cocaine, unprotected groupie sex, and obnoxious guitar solos – the legendary Sunset Strip heavy metal jesters have seen fit to rechristen themselves... wait for it…
STEEL PANTHER!
Following in the footsteps of rock luminary Prince (or ), Steel Panther plan to celebrate their new moniker with a series of bizarre career moves culminating with a trip to rehab and an episode of Behind The Music.
In an expletive-laced written statement, the thought-to-be illiterate band members – Michael Starr, Satchel (last name withheld), Lexxi Foxxx and Stix Zadina – explained that the change was a long time coming: “Since our earliest days as Danger Kitty, we’ve had a thing for pussy… as Steel Panther, we will continue this legacy.”
Barring any tragic gardening accidents, Steel Panther will continue to perform every Monday at the KEY CLUB in West Hollywood, CA until the end of time.
