Cavalera Conspiracy :: Inflikted

Roadrunner Records
CD Review

By The Atomic Chaser

AAMMax Cavalera is back with his new band CAVALERA CONSPIRACY. The band's debut release, 'Inflikted', will grab you by the throat as soon as you press play. The band consists of Max Cavalera on vocals and rhythm guitar, Igor Cavalera on drums, Soulfly guitarist Marc Rizzo and Joe Duplantier from Gojira on bass. The nail in the coffin for this album is the outright rage that spews forth from each track. Thank God, as you know Max would want you to, that he has again found a way to send his message with the effect of chilling you to the bone with sheer brutality and purely visceral adrenaline. As is evident with the titled track, to the adrenaline rush of "Sanctuary". Then you have the metallic monster, "Ultra- Violent" with Rex Brown of Pantera and Down aiding and abedding on bass. 'Inflikted' is essential for all Sepultura, Soulfy fans and especially Max freaks. If you're looking for a heavy, hard hitting, energetic listen, check this album out. This is what metal should sound like and should be. Now let's just hope that other bands in the genre will take note. Welcome back Max!
