Puddle Of Mudd :: Famous
Geffen Records
CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Great to see Puddle Of Mudd back in action again with their latest release, 'Famous'. Puddle Of Mudd Band lineup has evolved. The band now is made up of, Wesley Scantlin on vocals and guitar, Douglas Ardito on bass, and two new members, Christian Stone (ex-Campfire Girls) on guitar/vocals and Ryan Yerdon on drums. Quiet honestly the band sound damn good. The band has come a long ways since their debut, 'Come Clean'. The first single is "Famous", which echoes "Control" or "Away From Me." It's a good shot of adrenaline when driving on the freeway. "Livin On Borrowed Time" is a groove laden rocker, but isn't much of a stretch for the band's sound. While Puddle Of Mudd served up surefire rockers, they do put out great power ballads like, "It Was Faith" and "We Don't Have To Look Back Now" that are sure to get the female fans screaming to get on the tour bus. "Psycho" is another mid-tempo tune that could likely be the next single, and it's very catchy! Other songs like "Moonshine" and "I'm So Sure" send a tingle down below. If you are a fan you won't be disappointed by any of the tracks. Puddle Of Mudd continue to make the music they love to make and most of all the music that there fans enjoy as well. For cool, straight-ahead modern rock music, 'Famous' is guaranteed to get your rock off in more ways than one.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
