Loose Logic :: Before The Storm
By Debra Stocker
Ok first off, let’s say, it’s easy to see why this band won “Best Urban Group/Artist” at the 2007 All Access Magazine Music Awards Show. ‘Before The Storm’ by Loose Logic is a CD all you hip-hop lover’s or ANYONE who enjoys good rappin-lycris should add to their CD collection.
As stated in the CD, The album reflects issues of the youth and what they struggle with on a daily basis. Real life, real pain written by the heart of Ian Westbrook. Yes, I know what you’re thinking. EVERYONE writes on their life’s experience maybe, but an entire album? Sixteen songs, about gang violence, and real life, including the lost of their Grandpa. ‘R.I.P.’ Yes this one got me, as I was so surprised such a young singer-song writer could put into words what some take their whole life to learn.
Musically, “Before The Storm” includes some of the best musicianship. “Love You’ brings in the keyboards, and this ballot guarantees to pull on your heart strings.
One song at a time you’ll learn to love em all! I did and look forward to seeing LOOSE LOGIC live! Produced by, Ian Westbrook in association with Passion Play Productions, Dana Point CA.
With a little luck we’ll persuade LOOSE LOGIC to perform at a AAM event very soon! In the meantime keep up with them at myspace.com/looselogic or looselogiconline.com
