Beggars Ball :: 1321
Independent Release
CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Without a doubt one of the most exciting rock bands to come from the The City Of Angels, BEGGARS BALL is an explosive, unbridled force to be reckoned with. They proved that hands down with their debut, 'Fight This Town'. The boys are back and they intend to show no mercy with their second release, '1312'. The new album is a testimonial to the band's earthshaking ability to deliver music that just plain out ROCKS!. Beggars Ball is fueled by D.K. Revelle on vocals, Eddie Brnabic on guitar, Luciano Terrea on bass and James Salm on drums. The new album finds the quartet forging hard driving guitar riffs and bruising vocals with plenty of grit and attitude. I kid you not, hitting play is like throwing a lit match on gasoline. The band draws you in like a snake charmer with the title track then, BOOM! The band hit your senses like a battering ram with, "Helluvaride" from there on out is an aural assault with tracks like, "Dragpipe", "Burnout". It also shows that the band can throw down unplugged as well. Each of the news songs are presented unplugged and stripped down. To close it out the boys serve up a killer cover of the Skynyrd classic, "Simple Man". BEGGARS BALL isn't just a band you hear, it's something you feel deep down. Its pulse affects you like a virus. '1321''s staggering proportion, unstoppable momentum and roar will prove once and for all that Beggars Ball deserve the respect and recognition that they truly deserve. Welcome to the New Breed of American Rock & Roll. Welcome to the BEGGARS BALL. You're SONIC SALVATION AWAITS YOU!
