Director/Producer Darren Gaber is a professional in the arts and entertainment industry. His current jobs include tv/video director, camera operator, production specialist, radio personality and host of his own cable tv show.
Born and raised in Michigan, Darren moved to Long Beach, California at the age of 19 in 1989, in search of his dreams of being a film director and still resides there. Since then, Darren has earned an associates degree in Radio/Television Production from LB City College and also a bachelors degree from CSULB in Film and Electronic Arts. With over fifteen years of production experience in the film and entertainment industry, Darren has worked with many Hollywood actors and celebrities for years, including River Phoenix, Jim Belushi, John Ritter, Charlize Theron, Dick Clark, Anna Nicole Smith, Jennifer Lopez, John Travolta and many others and his work has been seen both nationally and internationally.
Currently, Darren is host of his own radio show, “The Double D Experience”. It was a chance encounter with blues dj Gary “The Wagman” Wagner, at a college class that led him into the radio booth. The Wagman suggested doing a radio show. Darren was reluctant at first, but upon entering the radio booth, realized that it was creative outlet that completely enthralled him and he couldn’t think of doing anything else. Darren had become a big country music fan in the last couple of years and knew that that was the kind of music he needed to be playing. Working as a director at Long Beach Community Television it was a natural segue way to take his radio show to the tv. Darren created video hybrid of the radio show incorporating elements of his radio personality “Double D” in to the project. The show will soon be available for viewing on the internet. Also, Darren is directing a sitcom titled “Crack in the Moon” that will be featured as five minute “webisodes” available for downloading on the internet. The show is a comedy that has been best described as The Addams Family does The Carol Burnett Show. All these projects keep Darren very busy and he says that these are only the beginning.

November 3rd at the Knitting Factory- Hollywood.
My song list is overflowing with all the new music, independent artists, favorites, rebels, pioneers and just plain darn good music!
