Dave Readman :: Dave Readman
Frontier Records
CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Long awaited and highly anticipated debut release from one of the finest voice in rock today, Dave Readman of Pink Cream 69 steps into the spotlight with one of the best rock releases in 2007 ! As far as rock singers go, Dave Readman, in my book, has the best voice in the rock scene right now. Nothing is forced from his voice. Readman's voice is tailor made for rock music. Which he puts on display in fine fashion with his brilliant debut release. Every song is a home run, but my favorites are "Evil Combination", the Whitensnake-ish vibe of "Take These Tears", "No Peace For The Wicked", "Prisoner Of Shame", and the lead off single, "Don't Let It Slip Away". Backing Dave are Paul Logue (Eden's Curse) on bass (he also co-wrote 2 tracks with David), Dirk Bruinenberg (Elegy) and Chris Schmidt on drums, Eric Ragno (ex Takara) and Günter Werno (Vandenplas) on keyboards and Alex Beyrodt (Silent Force), Gerald Sänger, Tommy Denander and band mate Uwe Reitenauer on guitars. David also plays guitars and keyboards. Production duties are handled by Dave's PC 69 band mate, Dennis Ward. Fans of Pink Cream 69 and David Readman will definitely get their ROCKS OFF with this record, it is filled to the brim with soaring hooks that would make Mohammed Ali jealous and in-your face guitars that will simply floor you. Fair warning, you may need oxygen after hearing it. IT'S JUST THAT GOOD! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
