The musical vibe is a mixture of heavy southern blues and good old fashioned HARD rock and roll. There is a bit of a "stoner" rock vibe throughout, but to label the music as such would do Pig Iron a great disservice. The rhythm section of bassist HUGH GILMOUR and drummer JOE SMITH is deadly and keeps things heavy and full, providing a great foundation for DAVE PATTENDEN's stellar guitar work and solid harp and soulful vocals of JOHNNY OGLE. Pig Iron is a smoldering entity with a true 70's inspired rock vibe. A mesmerizing cloaking of AC/DC, Grand Funk Railroad infused with Black Sabbath-esque riffs. Pig Iron will simply blow you away and make your head spin right off. These boys are BAD ASS and they mean business! Don't say I didn't warn you.
