Triangle :: Linus Of Hollywood
CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Absolutely Fantastic! The long awaited new release from Linus Of Hollywood is filled with McCartney melodies, Wilsonian vocals, all that a pop music lover would hope to find in a record today. There's not a thing wrong with it, original songwriting, excellent musicianship all around, flawlessly produced. This record is a pop masterpiece that celebrates the traditional formula of quirky lyrics, sitting atop melodies that are both lively and irresistible. An aural equivalent of making out with Pamela Anderson. A bright and cheerful overall mood is created with intelligence and poise. All the cuts are good, some are fantastic, such as "Farewell To The King", "(It Might Be) Too Late For Us", "Let's Just Stay In Bed All Day", and "When Are We Gonna Do It?". 'Triangle' is a record that, I think, everyone who loves music should know about. I usually find something to enjoy on almost every record I hear, but I rarely find a record where I enjoy absolutely every second. This is one of those records. A kind of album that you never get over. The songs tell stories, in rhythm, in words, in those beautiful little touches that you miss until the 300th time you hear the track. Each song tells a story, and together they tell another. A carnival of sounds that contains the magic we all felt on Christmas morning as children. Don't just stand there! BUY THIS ALBUM your brain needs some real music!
