Ever think that there is “never enough” of the L.A. Guns? Well, feast your ears on the new arrival from the band that has been rockin for 17 years. Local rockers LA Guns have a crankin’ new live CD “Loud and Dangerous Live from Hollywood” on Shrapnel records rocking from top to bottom. These guys have demonstrated that they have the goods. From the very first note until the end the Gun’s music is energetic and exciting. It’s amazing how many great hits they have written. The disc includes all of their fans favorites kick starting off with “No Mercy,” followed by “Sex Action,” “Never Enough” “Nothing Better to Do,” “Electric Gypsy,” and rounding out with “Rip and Tear.” As a bonus, the CD includes exclusive live video performances of “Hollywood’s Burning” and “It Don’t Mean Nothing.” The band is comprised of Phil Lewis, lead vocals, guitar, Steve Riley, drums, Stacey Blades, lead guitar, vocals, and Adam Hamilton, bass, vocals.
Lewis’s energy is dynamic as he rouses the crowd acknowledging the fans as vampires and coaxing them into singing along with their tunes. Like their previous studio record, “Tales From the Sunset Strip,” the Guns open up this live set using screaming sirens and booming drums. Blades is electric on the lead guitars and their songs ring true
to their studio versions. Their music is satisfying to the loyal fans proving that they are still at the top of their game. Lewis asks if the crowd has had enough as they responded with an enthusiastic roar begging for more. This CD feels like you are at the gig and appeases their throng of fans. This disc takes you back to their rare form when they were on top of their game in the eighties. Their music still rocks strong and is relevant even seventeen years later. If you haven’t experience the Guns live, this is the CD for you. www.laguns.net
