Jimmy Buffett has done it again, again and yet again with his new release, Take The Weather With You, released on Mailboat Records/RCA Nashville. As a singer/songwriter, Buffett has recorded more than forty records, most of which have gone gold, platinum or multi-platinum. He received Grammy nominations in 2004 and 2005. Also in 2004, Jimmy released License To Chill, which debuted at #1 on both the Pop and Country charts, and was his first number one record.
Take The Weather With You is produced by Michael Utley & Mac McAnally and like all Jimmy Buffett releases; this one will have you grabbing your surfboard and heading out for the next party! “Bama Breeze” kicks off this CD, a tribute to historic bars along the Gulf Coast. Mark Knopfler filed Jimmy’s dream as he wrote and guests with him for the song ‘Whoop De Doo”, a catchy ballot. Good ole’ southern rock with that Jimmy Buffett “Margaritaville” sound we all know and love!
An excellent array of talented musicians is featured on this CD. Included are the English rock band Gomez, steel guitarist Doyle Grisham, Robert Greenidge (master steel drummer from Trinidad) and world-renowned percussionist Ralph MacDonald (prolific composer of numerous hits, including "Where Is The Love" and "Just The Two Of Us") and Hawaiian ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro.
Take The Weather With You is a CD You’ll WANT TO ADD to your Jimmy Buffett collection. Jimmy does it again with sounds from the Key West, and it’s a “Party At The End Of The World” for all!
