Jack Frost :: Out in The Cold
Mausoleum Records 2006
CD Review

By The Atomic Chaser

Jack FrostGuitar legend Jack Frost returns with his latest slab of riff mayhem, 'Out In The Cold'. Picking up where he left on his debut Jack Frost exhibits his musical dexterity and influence to the maximum. I thought Jack's playing in Seven Witches was mind-blowing and what he has served up here is just as sizzling! 'Out In The Cold' features some the most powerful voice is rock music. Includes guest appearances by Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt/Quiet Riot), Ted Poley (Danger Danger), Joey Vera(Armored Saint), Chuck White and more. Melodic and metallic, this is everything you would expect from a Jack Frost album. 11 blistering tracks like, "Wasting Your Luv", full throttle pedal to the metal mover that will get your blood pumping in no time flat! Then there is the blues based rocker, "Peter & Me" that will get you moving and shaking big time. Also featured are a quartet of renowned classic rock covers that receive a metallic makeover - Foreigner's "Cold As Ice," .38 Special's "Hold On Loosely,", The Baby's "Head First" and April Wine's "Sign of the Gypsy Queen." Jack Frost is certainly one of the hardest working guitarists in heavy metal today and what he has done on 'Out In The Cold', will blow you away!
