CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Who said rock and roll is only for the boys? If you ask me, there is nothing hotter or sexier than a girl that can ROCK AND ROLL! The 13 femme fatale that are featured on 'GIRLS GOT RHYTHM' from Liquor and Poker are dangerously sexy and oh my god, can these ladies R-O-C-K!!! Covering all genres of rock from hard rock to heavy metal to punk, this CD has all the bases covered. THUND-HER-STRUCK kick it off in rocking fashion with "Thunderstruck". Then you have the mighty Iron Maidens flexing their metal muscle with a killer rendition of, "Run To The Hills". Also featured are; Mistress of Reality – Fairies Wear Boots (Black Sabbath), Cheap Chick – Surrender (Cheap Trick), The Little Dolls – I Don't Know (Ozzy Osbourne), Ramonas – Sheena Is A Punk Rocker (The Ramones) Closing the album out are the foxy Hendrix tribute band from L.A., Foxey Lady with a steaming cover, what else, "Foxey Lady". 'GIRLS GOT RHYTHM' serves up fair warning to the world that if you wanna rock it doesn't matter what sex you are, JUST DO IT! Great artwork on the cover by Alan Forbes (AFI, Queens of the Stone Age, Black Crowes), the artist who designed the logo for Liquor and Poker. 'Girls Got Rhythm' is definitely worth checking out! In an age of war, corruption, and other depressing things the music industry is singing about, it's good to hear fun partying songs with ladies who can dish out rock music as hard and as heavy with the best of them! I kid you not. As an all American man all I can say is, I WANT MORE! Great job ladies, you definitely ROCKED MY WORLD!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
