This rock n' roll will grab you by the canones and squees them till you turn blue! MONA FOR NOW is a power rock trio fronted by a drop dead gorgoes femme fatal singer, Shey-la on bass and vocals, that is backed up by two rock and roll soldiers of the highest degree, Fabian Ruiz on guitar and Rich Pancani on drums. As far as sound goes, I would describe the band's sound as an unholy combination of Slayer meets The Plasmatics. As is evident on the band's EP, 'Kiss My Fetus'. In other words, this is a band that means business. Mona For Now go for the knock out as soon as you press play and balls out rocker, "Don't Feel a Bit of Pain", shoots out of your speakers, the band has your undivided attention. Then you have tracks like, "It Must Fee Good To Be You" and "Wind Me Up", that showcase just how tight and powerful Mona For Now truly is. I'm just surprised that this band hasn't been sign or picked up yet by a biggie. Hat's off to Al Mirikatani (BB Chung King) for an excellent job in the production department. MONA FOR NOW are a kick as band and 'Kiss My Fetus', is the proof. Whatever the case may be it will shake your foundation and knock you flat on your ass. There is no secrets to this music, it's all up front in your face, just the way I like it. Although it might be wrong for me to sing praise and greatness to a band that is just breaking out onto the music scene, I truly think MONA FOR NOW are a quality band and if enough people hear them, they will be great. It's just a matter of those people catching on.
