After MidnightThe first time I saw After Midnight Project I was hooked. Fans and media alike have countless accolades to shower upon the band and every one of them are well deserved.

Although shows have been few and far between this clearly had zero affect on the fact this band can DRAW. Another night (and a Thursday at that) proves AMP has a rock solid fan base that comes out to get their groove on and shower the band with love and affection while singing along at the top of their lungs.

Jason Evigan, one of the most dynamic and charismatic front men to hit the local scene in years commands attention with his vocal prowess and insatiable energy. Backed by an equally talented and formidable line up of musicians, After Midnight Project have what it takes to hit it in a big way.

Kicking off the night with the fresh and funky sounds of Wilted it was plain to see the band had picked the perfect opening song. Tight and driving, the melody sunk its teeth into a perfect chorus and had the crowd riled up within moments. After MidnightA newer tune and a personal favorite, Disconnect, came third in the set list and had me swaying and singing along as others in the audience gave their all for the T.V. cameras on hand filming the event.

Through the Night, Party Dress and the anathematic Take Me Home kept everyone on their toes with hands raised in the air while AMP blazed through the remainder of their 40 min set. Needless to say it all ended with outrageously loud cheers of approval from the crowd and the inevitable chants for an encore bringing AMP back out to play their rendition of Hysteria by Muse.

Bands like AMP keep me perched on the edge of my seat awaiting and anticipating each and every next move in their musical game of chess. To be a pawn in all the action, check the band out live Monday April 17th opening for Metal Skool at the Keyclub.
