Lights OutThe first UFO sighting of L.A.’s own original tribute band, LIGHT’S OUT invaded Paladino’s in Tarzana, (home away from home for some of the finest tribute bands in LA). And brought with them their own invasion of UFO lovers.

Fans, old, young and new all lined up close to the stage as the curtain dropped and LIGHTS OUT began to perform. Manny Rocha-lead vocalist for the band came running in from the side, immediately taking total control of the stage. His vocals, packed with so much emotion together with his incredible stage appearance had an amazing effect on the crowd.

The other band members of LIGHTS OUT are Bobby Koch-keyboards, rhythm guitar and back up vocals, newest member, Chris Danko on bass, the very talented Steve Thornton-lead guitarist and Thomas LeBlanc-drums. These four men were nothing short of incredible themselves.

Some of you are used to seeing Bobby behind a huge drum set. And were surprised as I was to see, Bobby cashed in his sticks for picks and cymbals for keys, then blew us away with his great musicianship, just amazing, a very talented artist! But, I just had to wonder, after watching Bobby’s performance. How many other musicians’ posse these “hidden talents” and we never get a chance to see?

The members of LIGHTS OUT performed their hearts out, playing tribute to one of the greatest bands of all times, UFO! Their set included hit songs like ‘We Belong To The Night’, Only you Can Rock Me, Doctor Doctor, Rock Bottom, Shoot Shoot and lets not forget the bands theme song, Lights Out. And the crowd consisting of men and women of all ages where eating it up. Lights OutEveryone was dancing, singing and honestly having a real good time.

The bands entire performance was tight, right down to the special lighting installed earlier that day for their set. The lighting gave the band a special effect making their show more entertaining to watch. It was fantastic, and simply made it a “spectacular night” for LIGHTS OUT!

All though I can’t really say I was ever a big UFO fan. I can say after seeing LIGHTS OUT perform, picking myself up a LIGHTS OUT candle and signing the bands email list. I can confirm, the rumors of a UFO sighting at Paladino’s! And honestly say, “ LIGHTS OUT has made a UFO lover out at me”. And, certainly gained the respect of being one of the “BEST” tribute bands here in Los Angeles.

Have you ever wondered where UFO would be today? What would they sound like? Who would still be in the band, who not? What “IF” they would have continued?? Ever wondered? Check LIGHTS OUT at www.lightsoutufotribute.com
